Grabe, ang bilis ng linggo! Ang daming ganap sa family life, work, at syempre, paghahanda for our upcoming trip. Eto na ang kwento ng nakaraang linggo namin.

Saturday: Ballet’s Last Day & Mall Time

Saturday morning, we went to Ate’s last ballet class before the summer break. Usually si Nanay ang sumasama sa kanya, pero this time ako ang pumasok with her. Ang sweet niya kasi she wanted me to sit near her habang nagpa-practice. For a moment, I thought she’d ask me to dance too! Buti na lang hindi, baka ako pa ang mag-viral. 😂

After ballet, sobrang init kaya dumiretso kami sa mall. Ate’s favorite treat? Frozen yogurt! Alam mo na, once we step inside the mall… eh di nauwi sa konting shopping. (Konti daw. Hahaha!)

Sunday: Church and Early Dinner with Friends

Sunday is our church day, though honestly, we’re not regular churchgoers. Pero lately, we’re trying to make it a weekly habit para makita ng mga bata ang importance of going to church. This time, ako lang at si Ate ang pumunta kasi si Bunso natulog na when we were about to leave. Ayaw na namin siyang gisingin kasi baka umiyak.

After church, we headed to a family friend’s house for early dinner. We brought pork knuckles (crispy pata vibes!) cooked in the air fryer—konting healthy twist! 😅

Monday: Work Chaos Again!

Alam mo yung feeling na you start Monday with the goal of having a smooth week, tapos biglang boom, puro problema sa work? Ganun ang nangyari.

My client was supposed to start their Production Test, pero hindi natuloy kasi may configuration issue sa side namin. For days, I had to chase my internal team para ma-reinstate ang access ko so I can fix it myself. Pero syempre, approvals take forever! I even asked someone from the US team to help, pero kulang pa rin ang nagawa niya. I had to explain everything again step-by-step.

Finally, after 4 days of stress, access was back, configuration done, and the client test was successful. Happy days after halos ma-escalate ang project!

Midweek: Ate’s Vaccination Drama

In the middle of all the work stress, Ate had her vaccination—dalawang shots! Ay naku, she cried so hard na halos maiyak na rin ako. That night, nagka slight fever siya at sobrang sakit ng arms niya. So the next day, we decided to keep her home instead of sending her to nursery.

Packing for the Trip

Si Nanay started packing for our trip next week. At syempre, lahat ng big luggage—puro gamit ng kids! I asked her, “So, where are my clothes?” Ang sagot: “Hand-carry mo na lang.” 😂 My entire 5-day trip wardrobe fits in one packing cube. Dad life talaga.

Friday: Last Workday Before Vacation

Friday was all about finishing tasks and preparing handover notes for my backup team. I made sure everything was documented and stored in one place para kahit wala ako, walang problema.

We’re Ready!

Despite the stress, crying (both from vaccines and work!), and packing drama, we ended the week on a positive note. Bags are almost ready, and we’re all set for our summer trip!

Kayo naman:
Paano kayo mag-pack pag family trips? Pareho ba tayo na halos 80% ng maleta—para sa mga kids? Share your tips, baka naman may matutunan ako!
