I finally reached the biometrics stage of my UK naturalisation application. After weeks of filling in forms, uploading documents, and double-checking everything, this was the step that made the process feel real.
When I arrived at the TLS centre, the process was straightforward. The TLS agent first asked for my appointment letterand passport. He checked my details and confirmed my booking. No long questions. No stress. Just a quick verification.
After that, he scanned all pages of my passport, including the blank ones. It was quick but thorough. That moment reminded me how important it is to upload clear and accurate documents in advance.
Before sending me to the biometrics area, the agent asked one more question. He asked if all my supporting evidence had already been uploaded to the TLS website, and if I was happy with my submission. I confirmed that everything had been uploaded and that I was satisfied with it. Once I said yes, the process moved forward.
He then instructed me to proceed to the biometrics kiosk. From this point on, everything was self-service.
The kiosk was easy to use. You simply follow the instructions on the screen, step by step.
First, I scanned my passport at the kiosk.
Second, I took my photo. The screen guided me on where to stand and when to look straight.
Third, I completed my fingerprints. Both hands, following the prompts on the screen.
The system clearly tells you what to do next. There was no rush, and no staff assistance was needed unless there was an issue.
Once the fingerprints were completed, that was it. I was done.
There was no interview, no additional questions, and no request for extra documents on the day. Everything had already been handled online.
After leaving the TLS centre, I received an email confirmation from TLS. The email confirmed that my biometrics were successfully completed and included a summary of all the documents I uploaded through the TLS website. Seeing that confirmation email gave me peace of mind. It was clear proof that this stage was officially completed.
Walking out of the centre and receiving that email felt like a weight lifted. This stage may look simple, but it carries a lot of importance. Once biometrics are done and confirmed, the application truly moves forward. The waiting period officially begins.
For anyone preparing for this step, my advice is simple.
Arrive early.
Bring your appointment letter and passport.
Make sure all documents are uploaded before your appointment.
Confirm you are happy with your submission.
Follow the on-screen instructions calmly.
Another milestone done. One more box ticked.
I’ll share another update once there’s movement on the application. One step at a time.
– Until then, love you bye! And that’s #Dadbuhay.
